i get a blue screen coming up it says:
driver_irql_not_less_or_equal
thats when it does a memory dump
it also got the same blue screen the next time i tried but with memory management as the problem.
the disk was used recently and the dvd rom was salvaged from the same system i used the disk on and it worked fine

Yikes....memory management and IRQ conflict. Pull off all of the peripherals except the sata and video card. If you can get through the os installation that way then just start adding peripherals (cdroms, dvdroms, sound card etc) and you might find the culprit that way. Memory management: What did that error message say exactly?

just said windows was shutdown to protect itself and the problem was memory management, then a bunch of letters and numbers, then memory dump etc
i have only the mobo, 2 ram sticks 1 dvdrom drive and gfx in the pc, nothing else added unless u wanna count case fans. so i got nuffin to remove
