For some reason or another am not getting any sound out of my computer any more. It was working wine yesterday afternoon, and after coming home at night time it didnt work? i checked all my media players to see if the i muted anything but no dices, there all on full volume. i got a sound blaster audigy 1 gamer, using windows xp pro. plz help

Open the start menu and right click on my computer, select properties the click on the hardware tab. Click on the Device Manager button.
Is there any items there with a little yellow question mark next to it.

If there is a yellow quesion mark, then your drivers arent working fine. I would go into the properties of the device (through Device Manager), and Uninstall the device.
After uninstalling the device (this uninstalls the drivers), go to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers. The download will probably be in the form of an executable file that you can double click. Do so, and it should guide you through the rest. You may be required to restart your computer after the driver installation.
