Hey, how are you?

Which one should I go for? Asus A7N8X or Abit NF7? What's the best Asus A7N8X? Asus A7N8X Deluxe? What about Abit NF7?

Thanks.

Both are great, Maximum PC 2003 Fall Issue (Build the Perfect PC) recommends the Asus A7NX Deluxe board. But hey we can't always buy or agree with what the magazines recommend.

ill give you the few i know,

FSB - Front Side Bus, this is the speed the information leaves and enters the processor and travels to the ram/ other computer components.

Cache - This is the amount of memory that is on your processor in the different levels. The more memory it can store on the processor the less it has to travel to the ram for info which is much slower than the processor, as you can imagine. So, the more you get, the better the performance.

Multiplier - This is the number you multiply the front bus speed by to get the full output of your processor, not sure of its exact purpose if it even has one other than to determine your processors clock speed.

Bus speed is that same as FSB, just the data transfer speed through the motherboard.

not really sure what the others are if someone would like to help out :) , This should give you a decent start
