Automatically loging

Hi

When I have multiples users in Windows XP Pro, Is there a way for my account to always log automatically as I restart windows without asking me to choose who is logging in?

If you go to Control Panel > User Accounts you will see some options to automatically log an account in. I'd give you more detail, but i'm at work right now and am part of a domain. If you do not find it, let me know and I'll tell you step by step when I get home.

I got this answer from another forum and it works thanks

"To answer your question, if want to have it automatically log you on,

Start / Run / "control userpasswords2" - no quotes
Uncheck User must enter a user name and password to use this computer

Then enter the account and password you want to use."

Bad idea do not listen to them!


You want to type in your password on startup for security reasons it is a huge "hey I'm wide open to malicious stuff" sign.

But this will be only for signing in fisically from my machine, wich is in my place.
