If you were planning on upgrading anyway, go for the best you can get with a 478.

You cant remove some BIOS chips though...

Yeah depends on the board, most overclocking boards let you, most boards are PLCC type (think thats the correct abbreviation) and will allow you to remove them, but again I think it may apply to only OC'ing boards or atleast non-completely crappy boards.....never even seen that EPROM flasher before, looks crazy
