user32.dll help

I am using windows 98 SE and I installed a program but when I try to run it a pop up comes up and says File linked to a missing export user32.dll layers windows attributes I checked and user32.dll is in the c:\windows\system folder Any help or ideas of a way to remedy this problen would be appreciated Thanks

If I remember correctly microsoft fixed this with an update. The best solution would be the unofficial service pack.

I downloaded, and installed, I like the updates....but still have the sam problem...hope somone can help....

Sounds like there's a problem with the software you installed rather than with windows. You could try checking to see if a more recent version is available, if not then try googling the software name to see if anyone else has had the same problem.
