Old Problem, Trying to fix

A old Radon 9200se i had developed severe artefacts and the picture is almost unrecognisable. You can slightly make out the bios. It has never been overclocked. Im wondering, what could cause this and how i could fix it.

yea artifacts are caused by overheating, but i dont know why it would suddenly start doing this. you could consider underclocking the card to reduce temperatures, or try and buy a fan for it
 
You can use this to underclock your card ATI Tool. It is a tool made for overclocking your ATI GPU but i don't see any problem with underclocking it with this program.;)

you can change the frequencies while ur using the card. just lower the bars by about 5Mhz each time, set the clock, exit, and see if the artifacts are still there.
