is this a good computer upgrade?? questions?

right.. well. i have a 3000+ athlon xp, 2 x 512mb ddr ram fsb 333 pc2700, 6600gt agp.. and i am thinking of upgrading to 3200+ athlon xp, 2 x 1gb ddr ram fsb 400 pc3200, 6800gt agp (overclock to ultra if possible)

is that a good upgrade.. and how much of a performance gain will i get

upgrade the RAM and the vid card, ull net a significant increase. dont bother with the CPU. In fact, there is no real point in upgrading a Socket A ATM. U know what? Save the money, buy another stick of 512 RAM, and when u have the money, get a socket 939 mobo with an Athlon 64 and a vid card.

yeah i am going to have to agree, you already have a pretty good processor, maybe at a little bit more ram and your good to go. you can upgrade the videocard if you want, but I wouldnt go all out, because you might want to save for a 939.

Personally I would just throw some extra ram in ther now.

Video card is great, better to wait off (or buy now) for the 7800GTX or next series of cards.
