I have a question cause I can't seem to figure it out. I was in a hurry to install windows 98 a couple months ago and on accident I created two partitions on my 19gb drive, a 2gb and a 17gb. Windows was installed on the 2 gb partition and I've been having memory/space problems ever since. It'd make sense to do the install over again but I don't wanna lose the info on my 17gb partition. To my question, is it possible to split the 17gb partition in half and install windows on the 1/2 17gb drive and then clear the 2gb partition and add it to my info partition??

So that's my question. Any chance I can do this? Thnx.

yup but you need to get some software to do it. Partition magic is the best that I have seen. If you have 50 bucks totally worth it. Otherwise there are free one out there but I can't vouche for them. I think the ultimate boot cd has on in that is supposed to be good.

nope, the built in programs with windows only allow you to remove and add partitions, not re-size them.

I also vouch for partition magic. It works wonders.

If it was me I would try to image the 17Gb drive and save to
dvd and then repartition your drive like you should have in
the beginning. Now, the imaging only makes sense if you
dont have too much on the 17Gb partition, Ill leave that
decision up to you.

I think starting from scratch with a fresh drive, partitioned
and formatted is better than "Hoping" Partition Magic can
move all this data around and you will come away with a stable
system and no data loss or corruption-MO.
