Im thinking of getting the thermalright xp90c since Ive heard fo much better cooling with it.

Yes, I just got the XP-90 and my temps went down by 25 degrees! It's an awesome heatsink.

are you just using the heatsink or do you have a fan with it as well?

Oh yeah I have a fan. I think you need one. Although it is sold as just a heatsink, I've never heard of it being run without a fan.

With AS5, the difference will be more noticeable over time.

Also what are your temps right now, if you have a san diego fx-55, it will run very cool. However overclock with your heatsink and you will be great compared to stock
