the 7800gtx is at newegg already, whats this!!! it is about the same speed as the 6 series, and mine is overclocked more than that!!! all I see are more pipelines.. and the benchmarks aren't much greater than the 6800.

could this be a trick, could nvidia be shipping these out as just another graphics card like the 6 series, and be working in secret on a real next gen card???

If I were to buy another I would get the 6800 ultra cause the price is bound to drop sooner or later...

Well, clock speed isn't THAT important. You could probably OC it to about 500mhz easily.

The 6600GT has higher clock speeds than the 6800GT, but it isn't as good.

sure it can, the 6800 GT has more pipelines, 16 as opposed to 8. pipes are more important than clock speeds

The 6600GT uses 128bit memory, the 6800GT and this card use 256bit memory, therefore the 7800GTXs clock cycles can process more instructions than the 6600GTs.
