Laptop Dispaly Flickering

I recently bought a Dell 8100 on eBay. It works great so far except for that on higher resolutions (its native res is 1400x1050), there is quite a bit of screen flickering. Not like there is with a low refresh rate, but like the pixels themselves are all messed up. This problem doesn't appear on resolutions 1024x768 and below, but it does above, making those resolutions unuseable.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this or anything? Thanks.
