Lan Driver

When it comes to formating a computer, after formating it you almost always have to re-install the drivers. But what if the person that ure workin for loses the drivers and you dont know what kind of mobo the person has?

My question is, is there anyway of getting the Lan to work on a computer without having to install the drivers? if so, step by step, how?

Well... is it a pre-build computer? (HP, Dell etc.) Have you givin the mobo a hard look to make sure it's not written on the sides? I'm guessing the lan is onboard... sometime they will write the manufacteur name and model # near the connection.

you have to have the drivers or windows has no idea how to use the hardware. There are programs out there that will identify hardware for you. I am not sure the name as of this post but I wiill search tf for you and get some links.
