PAINTING CD DRIVE! help

so in order to save money im using a cd drive we got earlier and putting it on new comp, cept comp case is black and cd drive is white
so i can just ake off the face of the cd drive and paint it...

so is all i need to do is sand it down then spray paint it 2-3 coats?
car spray paint?
some other kind of spray paint?
clear coat?

anyone done this before and wanna help? ty

There is a type of spray paint called Krylon Fusion that is specially made to adhear to plastics. I have heard good results from modders about this paint so I would say try that.

Yea the Doom3 case mod guy used it on his mouse and it looked awesome. w/e you do DONT use car modle paint!! I did and it was the dumbest thing ive ever done. so now ive got a gloss black CD-ROM and a flat black case.......whoops.

oh yea and follow what the dude in th elink says to cause i didnt remove my parts (cause im stupid) and the tray got stuck from the dried paint so i had to use a screwdriver to pry it open so i could put CDs in it.

Just take the sucker apart and paint it

I however used normal spray paint, and alot of it came off, so I just drew on it with a sharpie

checkered disk drive... pimp, yea ill try sharpie first then paint if it doesnt work
