DVD Ripping and decoding

I wanted to play Hostage on my comp and WMP said that I didnt have the proper decoder installed. Anyone tell me what that is about?

Well I installed an nvidia DVD decoder and it played but it wouldnt show a picture, just showed that it was playing. I turned off SLI and restarted and the problem is still there, any ideas?

It works with Power DVD.

Hey hercules! DVD shrink rips your dvds into multiple sections because your HD is formatted in FAT32. The max file size is like 1Gb. I ran into this with my old comp... it blew before I figured it out. If you format to NTFS it will rip the movie as one complete file.

BTW, I backup my movies with DVD shrink as an ISO and when I want to burn I use nero. You never know when label side damage will happen. If that happens, you are fudged.
