formating help

hey guys just wondering why i cant format?
i out the xp cd in and then restart..... when its restarting it doesnt say boot to cd? i dont get it.

my mobo in asus sli

any reasons?

Have you set it to boot from cd rom in the BIOS?

i dont see it in the bios. i go into the boot tab and all i donno what to do from there?

its says

1. 2nd slave: lite-on DVD RW SOHW-1673d

is that right i click save and exit and it still doesnt come up

So you insert the CD and nothing happens when you choose your drive? There should be a boot order in your BIOS. Keep on searching, make your CD/DVD-RW drive first boot device. You might need the XP boot diskettes, a pack of 6 disk.
