Hotsink Palm & Sony Vaio using Infrared

HOPING SOMEONE CAN HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have "Beamed" to/from my Palm Vx and other Palms, but am unable to Hotsink using the Sony's Infrared device. I use the Hotsink cradle at my office, but want to learn how to use the Infrared when at home or traveling. I even have a copy of "How to Do Everything with Your Palm Handheld," but still cannot figure it out.

i would say to either check the infared device, or read the manual more carefally
