No, SATA2 will not work with that board. You need a SATA150 HD. BTW, both links point to the motherboard.
 
I think it does work. I remember reading that it was backwards compatible.

Buuut, I wouldn't chance it get a Seagate or Western digital HDD.

Btw. SATA 2 doesn't give any performance increase over SATA1. 7200rpm HDD. do not transfer data more than 75mb/s.
 
That other one is also retail, so it would be more expensive. Tbh. the one you picked out is great. If you want a Seagate, get it OEM.
