I'm buying a new PC soon but i cant decide which one is the best value. I have it narrowed down to 2. I'll copy/paste the specs of both best i can.

ABS Awesome 3500:

Asus Model P4S800 SIS 648 Chipset 800/533MHz FSB with Hyper Threading Support
Intel Pentium 4 2.6GHz 512k 800MHz FSB
Geil 1024MB PC-3200 DDR400 RAM
Maxtor 120GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache ATA133 (IDE)
Sapphire Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB DVI/TV 8X AGP
Lite On Black 48x24x48x16 CDROM/CDRW/DVD Combo Drive
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! Dolby Digital 5.1 Sound Card
Logitech Z-640 5.1 Surround 71 Watts with Subwoofer

It adds up to $1197

-------

eMachine T2865:

AMD Athlon™ XP processor 2800+ with QuantiSpeed™ architecture* and 333MHz frontside bus
512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM
DVD±RW/CD-RW drive; 48x max. speed CD-ROM drive
160.0GB hard drive
nForce 6-channel audio
Sapphie Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB

adds up to $982

Any opnions on which is the better deal would greatly help.I'm an avid gamer so right now i'm leaning to the ABS system but i'm just not sure.

Stay away friom The E-Machine!

I have had many many many run ins with these computers people buy them because they hae great prices but remember you always get what you pay for> I personaly would stay far away from E-machines.

do not buy an emachine, as a former computer salesman at best buy i can honestly say they are worse than the old compaqs

Don't go with an e-machine. They are a rip-off. In most cases, you can't even upgrade them as their mobo is not replaceable.
Further more, the specs on the one you mentionned are so-so.
The sound card 9600 PRO is a good card but the 9800 is better.
If you can, try and get a SATA HDD (150 vs 133) instead of the ultra IDE listed.
The ASUS P4s800 comes with a very decent integrated sound board so you don't really need another one. Here it is listed from the ASUS site:
ADI AD1980 SoundMAX 6-channel CODEC
S/PDIF out interface

here is a link to the ASUS board specs:
