I recently did ran a windows registry cleaner....and i just restarted my laptop ..and when i put in my pass to sign onto my laptop ...my background thingy appears and nothin else...then it takes me back to the bit where i have to login again ...

i also cant actually do anythin when the background piccy comes up

like i cant get into ctrl-alt-delete , i cant see my tool bar , or the start menu etc

anyone know how i can fix this

Load last good configuration that worked. In f8 menu when loading up. Will probably solve it.

this happened to me, my login settings went corrupt and nothing could be done to fix, not even loading with safe mode etc. You can try, but i had to have it reformatted. If you need to retrieve your files have yourself or some1 make it a slave drive on another comp.. thas what i had to do.
