about SM 3.0/DX, if i can only play it on DX 8.1, it still looks pretty damn sweet! not that i wouldnt recommend a SM 3.0 card, of course.

and yes, the 6800 GT is a 3.0 card

i have a 6800 gt and i had some pretty craptacular performance as well, so im pretty sure its not just you.

btw, the 6800 gt has sm3.0 right?

i hope they get this ironed out by release

I'm suprised 6800 users are seeing such bad performance. Especailly since this is a game "made for Nvidia." I have to say that I have had few graphics related problems in the BF2 demo....now there are other problems I have had with it, because its a very buggy demo.

If you don't have SM3, which only the GeForce 6 series cards do, you are stuck in DX8.1.

..but i still can't wait to see how the r520 will perform... i think it'll kick @$$ IMO... and same with the G70...:bald:
