USB issues

I have an EPOX 8RDA3+ motherboard that I just recently installed on my new computer.. Everything works fine except for the small issue of when I boot up and get to the login screen for windows (where you can choose which profile to log on to) the mouse is dead. So I'll unplug the USB IBM optical mouse and plug it back in and wallllllaaa it works.. This happens almost everytime I boot up. And sometimes, when the mouse gets power, the windows login screen won't turn on until I unplug the USB mouse. How weird is that?? Any ideas? Should I just go buy a new mouse and see what happens?

borrow one to try if you can. then purchase if that is the problem.

It wasn't my mouse.. It was a setting in the CMOS to enable advanced USB. Thanks anyways fellas.
