i laugh at the overkill some people have for their everyday crap. but it kinda makes me angry because half the time you have these people with massively powerful expensive machines who dont do crap with em. its kinda funny people with the powerful stuff use it 4 nothing and the others with weak comps try and use them for a lot more than theyre worth. i mean comon someone who buys a p4 3.2ghz for checkin email and the occassional browsing is wasting their money

If you come around here, because of your sig, your getting shot :p

I would give them a choice of the p4 2.4 GHZ and lets say a celeron 2.8 GHZ

I would recomend the 2.4 as it's better, but if their number sluts, they can get the celeron.

That's what I'm saying, a lower clocked P4 is better and pretty much the same price and a higher-clocked celeron. Its better just to get that.

the point is that a pentium 4/a64 is not going to give any better performace for internet/email/word use.

Apparently Tech-Forums runs on a Celeron, so they can't be that bad.

Well TF is from like 2002

Another forum I go on here, when it was on a single processor, it was slowed right down.

Now they have dual high end processors (not sure if it's Operaton or Xeon) and it still lags in uptime.
