computer keeps goin into powersave mode

my computer will be running and all fo the sudden it will go into power save mode.it will do it when im playing games and eveything. my monitor will just go blank and then it will say "no input going into power save"i have a 480W power supply.could it also be that my video card is overheating?i have a bgf 6800 oc video card.i was wondering if a could put a fan facing up towards the video card to push some of the hot air off of it?

Go into BIOS and disable it, but be very careful what you do in there.

Have you check power managment? - Its in the control panel.

yea all that is turned off so it won't go into powersave mode but i don't know bout turning it off in the bios.how do you do that.

When you turn your pc on. When it does the memory check press delete then. (It may also be one of the F keys, search the screen for which one.)

i have tried new monitors and everything and it still does it.when i say everything i mean tried diff monitor, used diff out puts, and changed bios settings
