computer beeps?

everytime i turn on my computer/restart my computer it always makes a beeping sound only 1 beep and thats it..does anyone no what it means? is it bad? how can i fix it?

Is your computer working properly? If it is, then that beep is to tell you everything works.

the only thing i noticed with it is sometimes when i turn on my computer then when i see the windowsxp loading screen then it just goes black and nothing happens and it does it sometimes when i restart :/ ???

I hate that annoying beep, so i just unplugged it from the Mobo. Does it make the beep when u hold down a random key for to long, like when u hold down backspace in like word?

Just unhook it if it annoys you.
