New computer

i am planning on building mymelf a new computer and i'd like some opinions on the specs :


Chenming A2ESW (green/silver/black/blue/red/purple) w/ window, 3 fans

Athlon XP 3000+ (Barton) w/ 512K L2 cache

Western Digital 120GB w/ 8MB cache

MSI GeForce FX5200-TD128 128MB DDR w/ TV-Out

MSI KT6 DELTA-LSR VIA KT600

C 400W P4 ATX w/ 2 Fans

Asus 52X CD-ROM

Kingston 256MB PC-3200 DDR400 SDRA
KVR400X64C3/256)

i am only looking to spend around 800-900 dollars canadian

I would definitely not suggest getting the Athlon XP 3000+- I used it for about 2 months and was extremely dissatisfied with it.
I had 512MB pc2700 in terms of RAM.

At any rate, I decided to go with what I have now (pentium 4 2.8GHz and H/T-it works), and I am still satisfied with it after using it for about a month now.

I previously had a p4 1.6GHz, which lasted very well for two years. I upgraded mostly because I was limited 512MB SDRAM.

Upgrades are cool.

Dude, you can't talk badly about a processor until you load the RAM up.....(I know it's all opinion) but only having 512 ram in any mobo running any proc is gonna suk! My parents five year old Compaq has more RAM than that...
