ok then I'll make sure I check up on whether it is out or not around August. Hopefully it isn't a huge step up price wise.

Tang as long as you get PC-3200 going any faster than that won't affect performance because the ram will just clock itself down to PC-3200 speeds to match the FSB/HTT speed.
unless you increase the FSB/HTT and lower the multiplier
or you might not want to lower the multiplier, you might want to overclock

latencies do bugger all, they are measured in clock cycles. a few clock cycles out of at least 200000000 per second is not much

Well you can't overclock the Hypertransport. You have to lower the multiplier when you increase the HTT.

Are you buying a new os? how about monitor/keyboard/mouse? Do you want quality sound? All these things will set you back :).

what do you mean you can't overclock the hypertransport?
overclocking doesn't depend on lowering the multiplier
I mean if you have a board with 2ghz hypertransport and you don't lower the link multiplier and you overclock to say 2.1ghz then the board won't be stable and you won't be able to get to Windows.

Oh and also for the poster I believe the new cards are coming out this month/next month!!
