I am getting a new barebones system here in a few months and i was wondering what the barton means on the AMD XP processors and if its worth the extra money?

Barton is essentially a T-Bred B revamped with 512 KB of level 2 cache, in the long run.

The XP 2500+ is a popular and good overclocker if you're interested in one.

Yep the barton is defiantely better than the t-bred core, you will find the price exaggeratted slightly, but sill.....

also, a 2800 is a good midway until the 64 really gets up some speed then u wont have lost too mcuh cash.
