chipset overheating asus a8n help:(

ok my fan on my chipset isnt spinning i think something is catching it so its stuck. i have 2 120 mm fans by it now so i can still run my pc but i need to know a chipset fan to order i need to order it tomorow plz help.

as it is sli it should be pretty new and under a warranty. if u bought the board retail ur in luck because acording to this

u got a 3 year warranty on it. just contact asus and they will either fix it or give u a new one. if it was oem then maybe u got a warranty wherever u bought it from. if not then read this forum

i dont wanna return it anyway and i dont care if its loud fan or anything i will be oc quite a bit so i just need a real good chipset cooler i dont care about anything else other than it fit with 2 6800 gt's

and i dont wanna put it on my wc just to heat up the water with something i could cool jhust fine with a good hs/f

i was thinking like a pure copper hsf with a fan or maybe just a really tall copper tower of fins lol

but as i said i would sorta like it to have a fan just to be safe...does anyone know how resistant the chipset is to heat? would a passive on be ok on a nf4 with a fx 55 oc'ed to 3.01 ghz and dual 6800 gt's?

also i just found out asus is giving replacement fans to those with the old fan like mine has...does anyone know if its any better?
