I just want to know, what Linux version/s can run on NTFS or FAT32? and where could I download them?
- I downloaded Redhat Linux 9 not knowing that it doesn't run on NTFS

you need to partition your hard drive to the linux formats, ext2 or 3 and then install it.

there are 3 CDs for Mandrake, one of them is Install, one of them is Extras and the 3rd is Internationalisation. do I need all of them or just the install?

I believe its all three that you are prompted for during installation as with red hat 9...

yeh ive seen linuxiso.com I was wondering which CD's you really need, if not all 3.

yes u need to dl all 3 cds. from looking at the redhat ftp site they are:

shrike-i386-disc1.iso
shrike-i386-disc2.iso
shrike-i386-disc3.iso

all of the 'shrike-SRPMS-disc#.iso' files are just the source cds.
