Surprisingly, ATIÂ’s CrossFire could outperform NVIDIA GeForce 6 SLI not only in 3DMark05, but also can slightly leave the rival behind in Doom III...

Although I am a fan of neither, I will admit I am impressed with the performance results vs price ratio that crossfire offers, boasting up to 89% performance increase over a single card in applications outside generic benchmarks such as 3Dmark. Not only that, it's playing a game with full eye candy using an engine that it doesn't like and it's perfectly playable.

:D :p :D :p

Still a shame it doesn't support pixel shader model 3. but, drools..........

ATI's crossfire in theroy is alot better than SLI, SLI splits your screen in half

So yoru FPS will greatly drop if their's an explosion one side of the screen, you will have a few % boost.

I think crossfire is a good idea. If you have an x850 xt pe and then you get an x900 xt pe when it comes out and I think you might even be able to do ps3 if you use the x900 as master? Not sure on that, but if you could do that it would be amazing.
