where is the inverter board located?

I lifted the screen off the cover and I think I have to unplug the wires that connect it to the cover, is that where the inverter board is, on the back of the LCD?

I got an IBM Thinkpad. It is by any chance the A series? Maybe the A31? Mine's pretty messed up as well, but was very very easy to take apart.

did you know how to fix it? mine is messed up by a black screen.

The inverter board is at the bottom of the screen. It is the only circuitboard in there. I woould have to take a look at it to fix it for you, I really couldnt coach you on fixing it.

ok, see it, so what do you propose I look for in it, a broken wire? anything? I also did some reseach and could it be the CCFL tubes?
