hard drive

Hi guys,

Have a bare bones system (soltek) and bought a number of bits (cpu, memory etc.) for it; the hard drive is a SATA type, but the connection on the mother board is IDE, is there any way I can connect the hard drive to the mother board? Hopefully I can just get a cable from the mother board (ide connection) to my SATA hard drive, is this possible or do you need to get an IDE hard drive?

Any ideas???

if the motherboard has no onboard sata controller you may be able to buy a PCI sata card for your hard disk. i have never used this before. i think a good place to look is here:
