anyways, just go for something like this if you're not OCing:

-that MSI board you listed
-leadtek 6600GT
-1 gig of corsair value ram
-a hard drive of your choice
-NEC 3510A dvd-rw
-AMD64 venice 3000/3200+
-if you're worried about overheating, then make a better HSF than stock; i'd suggest the zalman 7700cu and a tube of arctic silver 5, but i don't know if it'll fit in that case

I'm suggesting a socket 939 microATX mobo. That ECS makes it, well, that can't be helped.

It seems to be a rather narrow market. Almost all of the mobos I found for Athlon 64's were 754's.
