Printing Priority

Hi all,

I am trying to set up multiple printers to a single print device, which will enable me to set differing priorities on the printers, ensuring that some users get their stuff printed quicker than others

problem is setting up multiple printers. Set up the first printer to a print device on the network, then using the Add Printer Wizard, find the print device again but the second printer wont set up as their is already a printer for that device

How to set up the additional printer is the question please

Giving Printers Different Priority Levels - There may be times when you need to print a document immediately and want to bypass the documents waiting for a print device. You can do this by creating printers with different priority levels. (Print priority is set in the Scheduling tab of a printer's properties sheet.) If two printers are associated with a single print device, documents routed to the printer with the highest priority level (highest number) print first.

Got that Glider but thanks anyway, and for the advice about where to post, still have the problem of the two printers to the single device - seem to need a walkthrough on creating the second one...

problem is when setting the second one up to the same device, as the first printer is already present it just defaults to that..cant use a different sharename as then doesnt represent the print device
