Well, if price isnt an issue than just go to your local computer store and pick up a set that's a couple hundred bucks. I like my logitech 5.1 set that was only like 60 bucks on Newegg. Originally 80 in stores. Theyre cheapies but goodies.

if price isn't an issue (and even if it was) creative is crap, especially for its high price

if you want something decent you can pick up at newegg, get an m-audio revolution, 2496, or audiophile

Just a 5.1 pci gaming one. Im going to be playing stuff like Half life 2 and Battlefield 2 so it needs to be pretty good but not top of the line. How does my computer look, i am building it my self:

Is that Dvd drive like a regular one and will play cd's and dvd's?
Also, do you think the 6600GT will last me for at least 6 months and be able to play upcoming games such as Battlefield 2 and others?
