Ok I spoke a few months ago about purchasing a mobo, and after taking in all your good advice I have decided to go with the ASUS P4P800, this is one sweet board, what would you recommend for the processor? 3.0 or 3.2? Northwood or Prescott? what would be the best for a limited budget but still play Doom III with no lag what so ever???? Thanks.

That won't work with his board,His board is socket 478 not 775.

You get a 775 you will more than likely have to go with a PCI-E video card.

Stick with the Asus p4p800, get a prescott 3 or 3.2, whichever your budget allows, theres very little difference between them... 478 is still fine

Just get a 775 mobo and CPU, you can get mobos that supports AGP & LGA775. Also 775 is cheaper and you can upgrade to better CPU's in the future.......
