I have a folder on my old ATA 133 hard drive. Its a game file for everquest, its 3gb. I want to transfer it from that HD to my new hard drive which is set up as SATA. Can I hook up my IDE HD and transfer the file to my SATA HD?

you should just be able to drag and drop
open up my comp and then open your one hard drive
then open my computer again and open up other hard drive
then just click and drag

it should already be hooked up as a master unless its on cable select look at the hard drive there should be illustrations on it as to the jumper configuration
this shouldnt matter btw

Ok I just figured that the SATA drive I have in the computer is automatically set up as a master being SATA and I dint want to add the IDE drive into it as a master and have my system get confused. Im just putting the IDE HD in for a minute to transfer the 1 file. I will probally just pull the jumper out to make it a slave just to be safe. Gonna do it now. Ill let you know how it works.
