OCZ Rev2s are on sale at newegg right now for 170 bucks, an absolute steal and if you have the money I'd get 'em now, I have some and although I can't comment from direct experience yet they're guranteed to hit 250MHz and with the right knowhow I'm confident they can hit 300MHz.
If you want the fastest memory you could find you should check out the OCZ DDR625s, they're designed specifically for use with the DFI nf4 and if I had that kinda cash to burn I'd love to get my hands on them. Let's just say I'd probably take these if offered before a 6800 Ultra SLI.
My god, I did not know that it was so damn expensive! I like the looks of those first OCZ's you put up Gaara, might get those.
@emmerald: I already have my gfx card, and I am upgrading around that. I was going to get my mobo next, but I think I will get memory first, and then a mobo. Since it's on sale.
I would suggest, if you can, to get an Athlon 64 3000+ Venice with a socket 939 non-Asus motherboard
the guy who reviewed it with the Asus motherboard couldn't get stable overclocks. however, the Venice is capable of a lot of overclocking with a good board
Intel P4 478. I cannot afford a new chip, but thats alright, I have the 2.4 prescott 1mb cache. Kingston aluRAM right now, and a Jetway 875PMAX motherboard. I have pretty crappy parts, thats why I'm upgrading.
