I'm sure lots of people ask this but...

Since you dont really know how to build a rig, I'm going to say that you arent going to overclock either. Now, are you going to go Intel or AMD? Since it is mainly for gaming, I would recommend an AMD. For a board, maybe an Abit, DFi, maybe a Gigabyte. DFi is mainly for OCing, I mean it is still a great board for a non-oc'er, but still.

Video Card

That is a rather good setup. If anyone has any suggestions, throw them up, he;s going to need all the help he can get.

very very similar to what im gonna buy, just a different video card and psu (getting a cheaper enermax from someone), my purpose is same as yours, small gaming system for cheap that will run up to date games...

good luck

How does the 5600 compare to the 9200se? Because my video card which is low end can play warcraft 3 TFT at max settings and WoW on medium settings just fine...........

Dont cheap out on the PSU. It is so much more critical than people realize. It is the only part that has direct contact with every component in your system. You dont want a crapp one, you want a good one. Enermax is a crappy one. Get at least a thermaltake. They are rather cheap and pretty good. But trust me, dont go cheap on it.

Hey Kinslayer... I think they've compiled a nice setup for you. The great thing about what you would be getting is that in the future, if you want to overclock, you will be able to do so. I boosted my AMD Athlon 3000+ from 1.8 GHz to 2.3GHz. Also, if you're going to get a graphics card, I think I'd wait a little bit. I could be mistaken, but doesn't a new line of cards come out soon? That means you can either get a better one, or others may come down in price. Then perhaps, you can get a 6800 GT instead of a 6600 GT. I don't know though... could be way off.

Oh good idea! Do you know when those come out? I might as well wait if it's going to be even more cheap ;) thanks for the heads up on that one.
