What do you all think about setting up a public TF FTP Client?

Things would include:

Programs - Legal, Freeware, Shareware, Trialware
Instructions and how too's
Known issues and there fix
etc, etc

We will provide access to all TF members, including 1st time posters with a temporary username and password. Their rights will just be access and downloads, no changing or adding. If a member wants to have something added, PM a mod, smod, admin, me, etc. What do you guys think? Insteadon posting links here and there to programs and sites, just upload it to the FTP program and thats it. I know how to upload and download files, but I dont know how to give someone else access to it. So if someone has experience with this, please show me and which program we will be using. Is this a go or what?

Sounds good but where are we going to get that kinda bandwidth?

We will limit the number of user connections to say 5 or so at a time. I can set the FTP up on my machine, have all the programs, files, etc with me, and use it that way unless there is a better way. I will dedicate a spare pc for this use only, and have daily backups of any files that have changed or been added.
