my friend's computer needs help.

My friends computer shuts down when he starts playing games. I told him to update video card drivers and he did and it still happens. I'm thinking cooling issues? His PC is fine doing other things, but not games for more than 5 minutes.
He's got a 6600GT and a
P4 3.2

What is the temperature??

Does it turn on straight away afterwards or have to wait a few minutes/hours?

Well, I'm not sure what exact P4 it is other than a 3.2, PSU is a good suggestion, I'll pass that along to him. It is a brand new computer built from scratch. He says the temp is around 45 C when idling. I'll get more info.

what exactly does it do?
does it blue-screen? does it just instantly switch off?

if it's built from scratch, he might have not applied thermal paste correctly

and also the PSU, many ppl use crap PSU's for some reason..

Yeah, I said the same thing about the thermal paste. I think it just shuts down, no blue screen.
