Overclocking a cpu-HELP

Yes yes yes, i read the damn guide already-the sticky, which helped me in no way at all.
Is there some sort of program i should use to overclock, or something, because im deeply confused here, or is there a better guide for me out there, because after reading kangaroo's sticky, I was more confused then anyone in these forums.
so please help a noob.

if you're confused after reading that guide do you think it's a good idea to overclock then? Because his is pretty damn good and gives you everything you need to know. You OC through the BIOS by the way.

His guide was written more for socket A systems and even applies to Intels pretty much since OC'ing an Intel is fairly basic so it's getting outdated now.....heres one for AMD64s which will probably be even more confusing

Hey PowerSlave12, maybe you should rethink about O.C or a least do a little research. I just started O.C and it's not a smooth process it takes time. I good idea would be to search the TF fourms about overclocking and you should be able to get a basic understanding for it for there but take a look at these links as well.
