Flash bios/get rid of bios password.

Hey yall, im having problems with an old ibm laptop. I got it from my dads work, but as soon as I turn it on it asks for a password. This is the bios one, as the os has not loaded yet. My dad doesnt know the pass, and i have no way of gettin past that.

Ive heard about takin the battery out or watnot, but that didnt work.

So what else can i do to get rid of this?

That kind of password seems like a boot password not a bios password, their with the harddrive

Could ya take a pic of the password entering thing that would be great.

These things are NEARLY impossible to get off, but a low level format should work I think

So if its with the hard drive, then can i just pop in a OS cd and just go on from there?

Ill try and take a pic of the thing, but its just a little lock icon with a question mark and thats it.
