Have you done any virus scans lately with an updated scanner? Although this seems like really simple advice, it kinda looks like this problem would have been caused by a virus.

Also, a really good way to get viruses is file sharing programs like Shareaza (on your desktop).

AVG FREE FULL UPDATED and scanned my PC = NULL FOUND !

AD AWARE FULL UPDATE + SCANNED = NULL PROBLEMS

HIJACK THIS CLEAN !

Try using a restore point.

Am having this problem myself it occur from time to time...but i just ignore it and things goes fine...
I doubt it could be causing any problems.
