Network Neighbourhood browsing in Win XP

Many a times When i try to browse the network neighbourhood using the file open option the applicatin hangs and in the task manager its status is not responding and when i try opening the neighourhood from the windows exlorwr the windows explorer hangs and goes into not responding mde.in either case i have to o end task to preceed further

Do you have two computers? If so both have to be running to use this.If one is off the other trys to search for it and hangs.saying network not found. hope this helps.
