cant burn a cd

is it a hewlett packer computer? I had somebody with a drive similar to that name on a hp computer that wasn't worth a damn. remember the story about the drive not recognizing the xp disc on boot?

its a custom computer thats all i know... i made it

and yes i remember the thread... however i don't think that is the case here kus my cd burner used to work

right click my computer, properties, hardware, device manager
now click on your cd/dvd drives

go here but head to your ide controllers. uninstall your ide drivers. reboot the computer. windows will automatically reinstall them. see if this works.

got halfway through the burn and stopped. now if i double click the cd drive it says drive E:\ is not accessable
incorrect function

I think you need a new burner. do you try musicmatch to see if it will work?
