1gb (2pcs 512mb) ocz Gold (ocz4001024eldcge-k)

i am getting two gigs both of the aforementioned specs..are these memory cards superb at oc'ing??
 
the newegg link shows the right ram that im getting..
im also getting a DFI Lan Party UT NForce4 Ultra-D Audio/GB-LAN/IEEE/PCI-E/SATAII/DDR/ATX 64 939

so yea.. dual channel is supported..
so are they good ocing ram?

oh.. and is sata or ide faster for hardrives?
 
Not completely sure about the RAM, but I'll do some searches and get back to you.

As for the hard drive... definitely SATA. There is SATA 150 and SATA II, although SATA 150 should be fast enough. What kind of hard drive do you plan on getting?
 
thanks for ur help.. im thinkin about getting a 36 gb raptor as my main c drive and a 200 gb western digital sata
 
argh... if that is what you want, then nobody's stopping you, however I'd recommend getting two 75 GB Raptors (or two 160 or whatever) and put them in RAID. MUCH faster that way. :)

yea.. either those or the western digital wd2000jd 200gb in a raid 0 config..
whats the difference btween the Jd and sd labels on the western digitals?
 
Not sure... I'd wait until some of the "bigger" guys get on tomorrow and see what they think. Nubius definitely knows what he is talking about. All I know is that the Raptors work great because they work at 10,000 rpm.
