Putting together a computer

I have all the parts i would like to order, but i have very little knowledge of installation and getting everything to work. another problem i have is that i do not have my operating system on a CD (windows XP Home) and is there a way to transfer the operating system from HDD to HDD?

Yeah, I don't really know how it works. Something liek making a disc image.

i think im not sure but you can make a xp boot disk. but i may be wrong.

ive never dabbled in that kind of thing before but i think you can ghost from from hdd to another. Dont hold me to it though

If an installed copy of XP is all you have, unless you have the same hardware configuration your not going anywhere

ok, but what about installing all of the parts?? are there any special tips/facts i should know?

Well make sure you MoBo is compatible with your vid card, RAM, and processor. Your CD drive and HD should be fine. It's not really hard, most stuff you just plug and play, and all you really have to do is:

Screw in MoBo
Add Processor/RAM/Vid Card/Sound
Connect Drives
Add PSU if not already in
