Desktop search Engines

I've been thinking about downloading a desktop search engine. i've heard a lot of good thing about Google's, but then I've also read good things about Yahoo's, but then I read that Microsoft JUST released their's So i'm kind of unsure which one I should try, does anyone have any opinions in this matter? also should I have any spyware concerns with any of them? any info at all is infinitely appreciated.

Myself, I use Microsoft, works great. No spyware with this toolbar.

first you should expect no spywares since you are dealing with Major companies.
second i dont advice you to use any one.. they will just slow your boot and request internet connection from time to time causing slower system so do what you want

Yes, and Microsoft search will have a much larger log of files, and it'll be there right now, you don't have to load all the files. When I say load, I mean, with google, you have to let it index them, which takes a while. I'd advice staying with Windows search.

I think I'll just tentatively hold off on getting any of them right now seeing as how I don't truly need 'em.
